June 30: Weekly Prayers

Almighty God, we gather to praise and exalt you. Thank you for your generous love. We pray for your church and all who serve you, including Michael our Presiding Bishop; Melissa and Brian our bishops; Phil, our bishop-elect; Joseph our vicar, and Carola and Mark our sabbatical vicars. We lift up the St. Hilda St. Patrick Bishop’s Committee and our many volunteers. 

God of generous love, in you is our hope.

We ask you to bless your servants everywhere. We lift up Hong Kong Anglican Church. In our diocese we pray for Trinity, Everett. Bless the congregation of Al Saints Goshen who worships in our building.

Wise Counselor, we pray for our country, and the world. Help those who advocate for justice and peace. Assist, comfort, and provide for displaced people and migrants trying to find a safe path to a better life. 

God of generous love, in you is our hope.

Living and true God, thank you for the summer season as a time of joy, growth, and change. Nourish our travels, sabbaticals, and new ventures in life, work, and school.

Great healer, we pray for those who suffer and those in any trouble, those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Ron & Cristy; Emily; Laura; Vicky; John; Charles; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Will; Janette; Nancy; Sharon; Sandy and those we now name, either silently or aloud. 

God of generous love, in you is our hope.

True redeemer, strengthen our communities, especially the vulnerable who need shelter and continued access to social and medical services. Motivate us to use our resources to help others and advocate for justice and positive change.

Almighty God, thank you for the many celebrations of our lives. We thank you especially for the birthdays of Maria; Brandon; Paige; Carolee; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

God of generous love, in you is our hope.

Lord, we pray for those who have passed on before us. Surround them in your love and comfort us as we grieve their absence. We pray especially for Eva; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
