December 10: Weekly Prayers

We pray to you, O God, for the peace of the world, and for our unity in Christ. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For Michael, our presiding Bishop; Melissa and Brian, our bishops; Joseph; our vicar; for all who  minister in Christ’s name; for the person who will be the next Bishop of Olympia; and for all the holy  people of God. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For the church throughout the world, and the faithful in every place. We pray for the church of  Pakistan; and for the faith communities of St. James, Cathlamet; and St. Timothy, Chehalis. We ask  you to bless the congregation of All Saints Goshen. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For the leaders of the nations, and all in authority. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For justice, peace, and freedom among peoples of the earth. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For travelers; for the sick and suffering; for the hungry and the oppressed; and for those in prison. We  pray for those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building;  and for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue;  Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; James; Sara; Elliott; Robin; Vickie; Liddy; Hannah; and  those we now name, either silently or aloud. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For the dying and the dead; and for those who mourn; including those we now name, either silently  or aloud. Come, O Lord, and save us.

For our deliverance from all affliction, strife, and need. Come, O Lord, and save us.

Joining our voices with the Blessed Virgin Mary; with Hilda, Patrick, and all the saints and angels; we  offer ourselves and one another to you, our living God. Come, O Lord, and save us.

We pray for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week, especially Brett; Adrienne;  Darwin; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Come, O Lord, and save us.

Amen.
