You’ve asked and been heard: Here are three resources for praying the Daily Office, all of them free!
- Venite.app — This page is also available as an app on iOS and GooglePlay stores. You can set your preferences for praying the Office, and as long as you have an internet connection it will build the full rite for you. Fr. Joseph uses the app to pray the Daily Office at home.
- Podcasts from Forward Movement — Forward Movement offers full versions of Morning (“A Morning at the Office” and Evening Prayer (“An Evening at Prayer”) with three readings each, and you can subscribe to them in your favorite podcatcher! They also offer Forward Day by Day, a five minute podcast from the pamphlets as well as “Daily Prayer,” which is Morning Prayer with two readings.
- DailyOffice.org — This text-based website follows the Book of Common Prayer and Enriching Our Worship with additional prayer resources and videos for an Office Hymn for Morning and Evening Prayer. It is not based on the West Coast, so you may need to scroll down to find the right timed prayer for our geographic area.
