The Episcopal Church takes the Bible very seriously, believing that the Scriptures as contained in the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God and contain all things necessary to salvation. Every week we gather on Sundays to hear four selections of scripture (usually from the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament, the Psalms, an Epistle, and from one of the Gospels). On Thursday evenings we gather (currently online) to read the gospel text for the coming Sunday.
