March 30: Weekly Prayers

I bid our prayers, O God, for the faithful believers throughout the world; for our Presiding Bishop  Sean; for our Bishop Phil; for our Vicar Joseph; and for our newly elected Bishop’s Committee. We  pray for the Province of the Anglican Church of the Congo; and for the faith community of St. Clement  of Rome, Seattle. We pray also for the congregation of All Saints Goshen, who meets in our building.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, may we discern your vision for Christ’s Universal Church.

I bid our prayers for this nation, its citizens, elected officials and representatives, and appointed  judges. Bless President Trump and Vice President Vance. May your will be done in and through them.

I bid our prayers for an end to military aggressions and manufactured divisions among the peoples of  the world, remembering especially Eastern Europe and the Middle East. We give thanks for Canada  and Mexico, our neighbors to the North and South.

I bid our prayers for those in any need or trouble. We pray for those who struggle with addiction and  recovery, especially those who meet in our building. We lift up to you those who have commended  themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen;  Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; Amy; Ralph; Maria; Jen; Holly & Nate; Bill; Jeff; Alex; Vicky;  Kathy; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. May all who seek refuge from  persecution and poverty be granted asylum and abundance.

I bid our prayers for the departed, remembering the newborn Rune River; and those we now name,  either silently or aloud. May they share in your heavenly kingdom. Grant us peace and a holy  death that in your time, we may join the saints and ancestors in your everlasting glory.

We give thanks to you, Almighty God, for the many blessings and benefits we have received through  your generosity and mercy. Bless, we pray, those who celebrate birthdays and anniversaries this  week: Maxwell; Leah; April; Emilio; Alex & Kim; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

Amen.
