God who draws near to us, draw near to your church: Sean, our presiding bishop; Phil, our bishop; and Joseph, our vicar. We pray for the Anglican Church of Tanzania; the See of Canterbury; and for the faith communities of St. John’s, Kirkland; St. Thomas, Medina; Emmanuel, Mercer Island; All Saints Goshen; and all their clergy and lay leaders.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to the United States, the leaders of this country and all in authority, that they would be fruits worthy of repentance, and guide us to your justice.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to the world you have made, that we may rightly steward the resources and natural beauty and gifts you have given us.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to those in need, especially the hungry, the homeless, the cold, the lonely, all those who are hard pressed, and all who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially the groups that meet in our building.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to the sick and sorrowful, pray that these beloved people will have their health and well-being restored: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Tim; Karen; Will; Janette; Nancy; Sandy; Helen and Verne; Emily; Sophia; Charlie; Tom; Kim and her family; Jessica; James; Lela; Kenneth; Jayne; Mariam; Alec; Leah, Maxwell, and their family; Dale; Charlie and his family; Sila; Eric and Jay; Dee and her family; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw those who have died ever closer to your light. Today before your throne we remember Michael; Tom; Curtis; Ruth; Ed; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to our hearts that we may see your goodness in the world around us as we give thanks for all of your blessings, especially the healthy birth of Asta, and those we name now either silently or aloud.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
God who draws near to us, draw near to those who give thanks, especially Darwin and Carol as they celebrate their birthdays and Sandy and Bob as they celebrate their anniversary.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Save us O God, for we trust in you.
Amen.
