Holy One of Old, we pray for your church. Inspire the souls of Justin the Archbishop of Canterbury, Michael our Presiding Bishop, Melissa and Brian our Bishops, Joseph our vicar, and our wardens and Bishop’s Committee, the Bishop Search Committee, and the next Bishop of Olympia. Give them life, that they may never turn away from you. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Ancient of Days, we ask that you show the light of your countenance to St. Stephen’s, Longview; St. Peter’s, Seaview; and the Church of North India (United). Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Alpha and Omega, we pray for the leaders of this country, this state, and the communities around us. Keep them awake to the suffering of the world. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Beginning and End, we pray for the nations of the world, that we may know the grace and peace that only you can give. We especially remember the people of Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel; the people of Ukraine, and all those nations where violence and fear prevail. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Great I AM, let your hand be upon those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Robin; Vickie; Liddy; Hannah; Rhonda and her family; Elliott; Christine; Sandy and her family; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Everlasting to Everlasting, as we watch and wait for Jesus’ return, we pray for the departed, especially those we name now either silently or aloud. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Source of All, we pray in thanksgiving for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, as they put forth new leaves of new years. We especially give thanks for Christine; Bernie and Jill; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Merciful God, who sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Restore us, O God of hosts. And we shall be saved.
Amen.
