In you, O God, does your church take refuge. Strengthen us by your Holy Spirit to do great works in Jesus’ name. May your church glorify you in all our doings. Bless Michael, our presiding bishop; Melissa, our Bishop Provisional; and Joseph, our vicar. We pray for the Church in Wales; and for the faith communities of Grace and St. Barnabas, Bainbridge Island; and St. Paul’s, Bremerton. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
Ancient of Days, rescue the innocent from the hands of those who persecute them. Hold in your strong hands the oppressed and the abused. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
God, our strong rock, give us eyes to see your hand at work in our world. Lead us and guide us that we may be good stewards of your creation. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
Tower of strength, assure those who are unemployed or living in poverty that they are precious in your sight. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
Merciful God, incline your ear to those in need of deliverance. Calm the troubled hearts of the suffering and the sorrowful, of the sick and the anxiety-plagued. Bless those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Kevin; Lisa; Ty; Rhonda; Amy; Emily; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
God of truth, we commend the dying and the dead into your hands. We rejoice in Jesus’ promise that he has prepared for us a place in your eternal home. Today, we remember especially Dolores; Yoong; Sara; Fred; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
God of joy, we celebrate with our friends their birthdays and anniversaries, especially Mei; Deb; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Make your face to shine upon us. And in your loving kindness, save us.
AMEN.
