Eternal God, we pray for Your church and all who serve You, especially Joseph, our priest; Melissa, our Bishop Provisional; and Michael, our presiding Bishop. In the Anglican Communion we pray for The Episcopal Church, and in our diocese we pray for St. Stephen’s, Oak Harbor; and St. James, Sedro Woolley. We pray also for all past and present peoples who have shared this space. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
Grant Your wisdom to those in positions of power, including our president, Joe; our vice president, Kamala; our governor, Jay; and all members of our legislative and judicial branches. Through laws and justice, may our nation provide for everyone in need. Help our leaders do right, even when it is uncomfortable. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
We thank you for all the beauty, love, and kindness in the world. Where there is pain, sorrow, abuse, destruction, and hatred, bring healing and peace. Grant life to the world, and life abundantly. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
Good Shepherd, You call us by name. May we each live fully into our unique talents and use them to support our community. In this neighborhood, we ask that our building, land, sock box, and food pantry bless everyone who uses them. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
Risen Jesus, You are with us in all things. Protect everyone who suffers or is in any trouble, that they may fear no evil. Today we especially remember Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Karen; Vicky; Ty; Rhonda; Amy; Emily; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
As we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, comfort us with Your Spirit. We pray for those who have departed this earth, especially Margaret; Dolores; Yoong; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
We thank You for the gift of friends and loved ones who are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, including Martha; Dawn; Peter and Adrienne; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Shepherd of our souls, hear and guide us.
AMEN.
